ScyllaDB Docs ScyllaDB Cloud About ScyllaDB Cloud as a Service Billing

Billing¶

Billing Options¶

ScyllaDB Cloud offers flexible billing options to match different usage patterns and business needs. You can choose between fixed contracts, Flex Credit—a prepaid pool of money that can be used to cover a cluster’s usage costs, or using on-demand resources, depending on how predictable your workload is.

  • Contract

With contracts, customers commit to a specific instance type, quantities, and a data center region for a defined period (typically one year). This option provides predictable billing and reserved capacity.

Example: 3 × i4i.xlarge instances in us-east1 for one year.

Under the Premium plan, contracts also allow flexibility to adjust instance types and regions during the contract term.

  • Flex Credit

With Flex Credit, customers purchase a pool of credits upfront. These credits can be used to cover dynamic or temporary resources not included in a fixed contract—such as scaling additional nodes or deploying ScyllaDB X Cloud workloads.

This option is ideal for workloads that vary over time or for extending capacity as needed. It offers flexibility while maintaining control over spending.

  • On-Demand

With On-Demand billing, customers pay for resources as they are used, without any upfront commitment. It is best suited for unpredictable or short-term workloads.

This option provides the greatest flexibility but comes at the highest cost per resource.

Pricing Plans¶

ScyllaDB Cloud offers multiple plans designed to meet different performance, scalability, and support requirements. Each plan provides varying levels of availability, management flexibility, and enterprise features.

  • Standard Plan

Designed for production workloads that require reliable performance and essential enterprise capabilities. It supports the Standard cluster type and offers On-Demand or Fixed Contract billing.

This plan delivers core managed services and baseline enterprise support.

  • Professional Plan

Intended for mission-critical workloads that demand higher availability and greater operational flexibility. It supports the Standard cluster type with On-Demand, Fixed Contract, or Flex Credit billing.

This plan adds enhanced availability, observability, and support levels for customers operating at scale.

  • Premium Plan

Built for enterprise environments requiring the highest levels of security, flexibility, and uptime. It supports both X Cloud and Standard cluster types and offers On-Demand, Flexible Contract, and Flex Credit billing.

This plan provides advanced management, networking, and compliance capabilities along with the fastest response times and strongest service-level commitments.
