ScyllaDB Docs ScyllaDB Cloud Access Management User Management

User Management¶

Managing Users¶

Note

You must have the Admin role to manage users.

To create, modify, and delete users for your organization, go to Settings> Users via the drop-down in the top right corner. You can:

  • View the list of users.

  • Modify users (for example, modify user roles).

  • Invite new users.

  • Delete existing users.

User Roles¶

The following built-in user roles are available:

  • Admin

Admins have access to all of the features, including cluster and billing administration, and have the privileges to invite and manage other users.

The Admin role is required to enable and manage security-related features, such as SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) or Database-level Encryption .

  • Maintainer

Maintainers have the privileges to make changes to the existing clusters, such as adding the allowed IPs or configuring VPC peering and maintenance windows.

  • Viewer

Viewers can view information about the existing clusters, such as monitoring data or server information, but have no privileges to make any changes on the account.

  • SSO

This role is required to enable SSO on your ScyllaDB Cloud account. It can be enabled for your organization upon request. See SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) for details.

All roles can update their own user details, change the password, and enable two-factor authentication.
