ScyllaDB Docs ScyllaDB Cloud Service Behavior Managing ScyllaDB Versions

Managing ScyllaDB Versions¶

ScyllaDB Cloud is a managed service for ScyllaDB databases.

The service deploys the latest ScyllaDB version for new clusters, and upgrades existing clusters once a new version is released.

The upgrade process is performed as a rolling-upgrade with no downtime. It usually commences within 4-6 weeks from the ScyllaDB release.

Version Requirements for Vector Search¶

Vector Search requires ScyllaDB 2025.4.3 or later. Different ScyllaDB versions provide different Vector Search capabilities. See Vector Search Availability for a detailed compatibility table.
